When you get stuff stolen, you tend to learn a lesson or two...

Items Stolen from suit case while on flight:
  1. Black Fossil watch from Grandma = $100
  2. Diesel bracelet = $130 (only bought for $15- thank god)
  3. Aldo dog tag necklace = $30
  4. Assortment of other bracelets = $30
  5. Black H&M necklace = $10

Lessons learned from the day:

  1. Place all valuables inside of suit case, locked up where people cannot easily access
  2. Wrap soaps and other liquids in plastic bags for when they break in your checked luggage (I did!)
  3. Before you go somewhere that speaks a different language than your own, write out and practice your common stories that you tell to your friends at home in that language so you can nail them abroad and look awesome.
  4. Ecuadorians dance out of the womb
  5. Bring a spare pair of cloths, your cleanliness products, and phone charger for when you miss your flight (see last post). You can then be clean and fresh to impress your host family the next day.
.... PRICELESS!

  1. Wow. I leave tomorrow morning, and I'm super nervous for getting stuff stolen. This does not comfort me, lol, but I'm glad you wrote about it.
See you in a few days when I start USFQ!
