14 Things I Wish Were More Common in America/Ecuador

Things I wish were more common in USA:
  1. Kisses on the cheek when you say hi/bye to people of the opposite sex. It's so friendly. (I think I've said this about every country that I've visited and everyone does it except us...)
  2. Hang out/relaxation time after class at a local establishment
  3. Cheap public transportation
  4. Dish washer ferries
  5. Extended family familiarity
  6. Sun
  7. Diversity of language
Things I wish were more/less common here:
  1. Pure drinkable water from the tap
  2. Less import tax
  3. Thieves
  4. Gates around neighborhoods and houses: there are some GORGEOUS houses here that you can't see at all because of the gates and barbed wire around them. Thanks to number 4...
  5. Waiters who care (this could be wrong, but I've yet to see it. I'm sure there will be some great ones in the future!)
  6. People who take advantage of tourists
  7. Nicole :)
